FAMILIENLAGUNE PERLEBUCHT The newly designed Familienlagune Perlebucht provides Büsum visitors with a spacious bathing and recreation area complete with a sandy beach. This modern beach, one of the most contemporary along Schleswig-Holstein’s North Sea coast, has been landscaped as a dune environment with cozy, wind-protected areas. Natural sections with salt meadow-like vegetation offer the perfect spots to unwind and breathe in the fresh air. Between the swimming and watersports areas, a pier leads to a terraced entry into the mudflats. Here, you’ll also find restaurants, a beach bar, lockers, lifeguard services (DLRG), and more. A scenic promenade along the water invites visitors to stroll and take in the view. Families will love the area’s fantastic playgrounds, climbing structures, swings, hammocks, and ample space for digging in the sand. Boredom is out of the question! Approximately 100,000 m² of water is available across two tide-independent basins for swimmers and watersports lovers. By Car Drive from Hamburg through the Elbtunnel, then take the A23 (toward Husum) via Itzehoe in the direction of Heide. Exit at Heide-West and follow the B203 to Büsum.
By Train Travel conveniently and environmentally friendly by train. From Hamburg, there are hourly connections to Büsum via Heide. The journey from Heide to Büsum takes 27 minutes, while the total travel time from Hamburg to Büsum is approximately 120 minutes.

By Bus Bus tour groups arriving in Büsum should not drive into the town center but continue along the B203. Follow the signs to Phänomania, and at the end of Dr.-Martin-Bahr-Straße, turn into Fischerkai. At the end of Fischerkai, you will find the Ankerplatz, a central drop-off point for passengers. From here, both the beach and town center are easily accessible. Driving through the town with a bus requires a special permit, which can be obtained from the local municipality. Free bus parking is available on Dr.-Martin-Bahr-Straße, directly opposite Phänomania near the youth hostel. There are 20 unlimited free parking spaces available.
